This is the beginning of the Fibonacci Series.   Starting with Zero (0) and One (1) (although, many presentations begin with One (1), thereby ignoring the Zero (0)), forming the next number in the series using the sum of the preceding numbers: 0+1=1, 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, etc.

The development (uncovering) of such series and numbers seems to be rooted in the way our brains and the world are built.   We count, we add, we find patterns where none should exist.   We worry about things that no one should worry about.   Is your  0,1,2,3,4,5 any more valuable or sober than my 0,1,1,2,3,5 ?
