Need about $ 3,000 more to close on the land in
Westbrookville by April.
I believe I was using work, or the time spent at work, to avoid the emotional hurt that surrounded the dissolution of my second marriage. As if that were not enough, I was also determined to purchase the property my parents once owned in Westbrookville, New York. It was not so much that they had owned it rather it was the land upon which I played and developed many fond childhood memories. It seems that regardless of how hard I tried and how much I worked, I was always just a few thousand dollars short of closing this deal. It was not until September of 1996 that I was able to purchase this property. (As an after-thought: Even today I’m struggling to make the regular mortgage payments. Perhaps I bit off more than I could chew.)
